Kinderville’s Safety and Security Measures

At Kinderville, the health and safety of our preschoolers and their families is extremely important to us. Each quarter, our entire staff assess the top requirements for optimal safety within our enterprise.

Please take a moment to review the health and safety measures we’ve put in place to ensure that your child is in good hands during their time with us.

Allergies

All of our Kindercare facilities are nut-free zones (peanuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, cashews, etc.). Please ensure that all food items sent to our care facilities do not contain any nut products. It’s important that you update our staff of any existing allergies your child may have.

Illness

Please refrain from sending your child to school if they are exhibiting any symptoms of sickness, or potential sickness, including, but not limited to a runny nose, eye, ear, or throat infections, diarrhea, vomiting, or any other contagious disease based on the health unit govern by each entre location before attending our facilities. Failing to abide by this request can put your child, as well as their peers at risk.

Medication

Our staff cannot treat children with unauthorized prescriptions without parental consent, and will not administer any prescription that hasn’t been monitored for less than 24 hours post-intake. Please contact your physician if you are unsure of your child’s medication procedure and update our staff immediately.

Our staff go through intense personal assessments on a quarterly basis and prioritize accountability amongst our educators. We continuously review the latest provincial and regional regulations to ensure your children have access to the best quality education possible.

COVID-19 Protocol

Safety During A Pandemic

Kinderville is following strict public health orders to ensure the safety of our preschoolers and their families while operating during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We had the following recommendations and procedures must be enforced to ensure the safety of child care providers and staff working in child care centres to reduce the spread of COVID-19

Children who carry symptoms, or live in the same home as someone who carries COVID-19 (or exhibit symptoms) may only return to Kinderville facilities after careful inspection and self-isolation after a 14-day period. They must be symptom-free to step foot in any of our classrooms. This should be proven with a negative COVID-19 test result.

Symptoms include, but are not limited to the following: Temperature of 100 F / 37.8 C or higher, runny nose, cough, sore throat, Difficulty breathing/wheezing, sinus congestion, unexplained fatigue, body aches, etc.

COVID-19 Classroom Emergency

In the event of a potential COVID-19 emergency in the classroom, the child exhibiting symptoms will be isolated in a separate room immediately. Kinderville staff will notify parents to pick up their child as soon as possible. Parents will be asked to contact their family doctor for next steps.
